Three-way valve motors

Electric motors (or actuators) are used to switch a three-way valve in a gas boiler. They switch the three-way valve for heating or hot water.

If the engine fails, the three-way valve is not switched over. The faulty motor can be identified by the fact that the valve without the motor can be switched mechanically, but when the motor is fitted, the valve remains in only one position.
